How Stylist Scale handles your data
Stylist Scale is a subscription web app for hair salons, operated by ww beauty studio inc ("we", "us") in Orlando, Florida. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what you can do about it. We tried to write it the way we'd want to read it.
What we collect
- Your account. Your email address and a password (stored only as a hash). Your name if you give it.
- Your salon's data. What you put into the app: salon name and logo, color lines and prices, stylists and their pay rates, services, client names and contact details, formulas, tickets and reports. This data belongs to your salon. We store it so you and the people you invite can use it from any device.
- Billing. Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number. We keep your Stripe customer ID, your plan, number of seats and renewal date.
- Waiting list. If you joined the list on stylistscale.com: your name, email, role and salon size.
- Technical basics. Standard server logs (IP address, browser type, time of request) kept by our hosting providers for security and troubleshooting.
We do not use advertising trackers, we do not sell data, and we do not build profiles of your clients.
Your clients' information
Client names, phone numbers, emails and formulas that you enter or import are your salon's records. You are responsible for having the right to store them; we process them only to run the app for you. We never contact your clients and never share their details with anyone except the services below that keep the app running.
Who else touches the data
- Supabase — database, authentication and file hosting (servers in the United States).
- Stripe — subscription billing and card processing.
- Cloudflare — delivers the website and app files and protects them from abuse.
- Google Workspace — our email, used when you write to us or we send account emails.
Each of these providers is bound by its own privacy terms and only receives what it needs to do its job.
How long we keep it
For as long as your salon has an account. If you cancel, your data stays readable for 90 days so you can export it or come back; after that it is deleted. You can ask us to delete it sooner at any time.
Your choices
- Export. Owners can copy a full backup of the salon's data from the Setup tab at any time.
- Correct or delete. Edit or remove clients, formulas and settings inside the app. To delete your whole account and salon, email us.
- Unsubscribe. Every marketing email we send has an unsubscribe link. Account emails (receipts, password resets) are sent only when needed.
Security
Data travels encrypted (HTTPS) and is stored encrypted at rest. Each salon's data is isolated by database rules so one salon can never read another's. Stylists you invite see only what their role allows. Keep your password private and sign out on shared devices.
Children
Stylist Scale is for businesses and is not directed at anyone under 18.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we'll email account owners before it takes effect and update the date at the top.
